John Mercer has extensive experience with the acquisition, financing, leasing and development of commercial real estate throughout the Mid-Atlantic and other parts of the United States. John has assisted regional and national landlords and tenants with the negotiation and preparation of complex office, retail and industrial leases on a regular basis. He serves as outside real estate counsel for several publicly traded companies.

Jeremy I. Farkas

Jeremy’s practice focuses on commercial real estate law, in which he represents developers, property owners and municipalities in the acquisition, financing, permitting, development, management, leasing and sale of a wide variety of commercial, residential, hotel, resort and office properties. Jeremy’s practice additionally includes general commercial transactional law, including entity formation and management, secured financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He also works with individuals and businesses to obtain state and municipal land use permits, and represents property owners in the establishment and management of condominiums and common interest communities. Jeremy concentrates an aspect of his practice on representing telecommunications companies in their network development operations, including negotiating leases for the use of land, towers and building rooftops for the purpose of siting telecommunications facilities. Jeremy was an associate with Ropes & Gray in Boston, and was associated with another Burlington law firm, prior to joining MSK.

Allison G. Behjani

Ms. Behjani serves as Chair of the Firm’s Real Estate Section. Ms. Behjani represents real estate clients ranging from owners and developers to retail and office tenants. She focuses her practice on commercial development, office and retail leasing, acquisitions and sales of real property, entitlements and land use issues as well as title insurance. Ms. Behjani also assists borrowers in the financing of office, retail and mixed-use developments. In conjunction with her real estate practice, she assists clients with general corporate matters. Ms. Behjani has been recognized in Chambers USA in Real Estate (Band 3). She has been included on the list of The Best Lawyers in America© 2023 in Real Estate Law and also selected for inclusion in Mountain States Super Lawyers as a Rising Star (2015-2017) in the category of Real Estate. She has also been voted by her peers as one of Utah’s “Legal Elite” as published in Utah Business Magazine (2013-2022).
